GRAND ISLAND, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the first time ever, the pairings for the first round of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Football Championship Series will be telecast live, by College Fanz™ Sports Network, on Sunday, November 15th beginning at 1:30 p.m. Central Time.
College Fanz, the world’s largest online college sports community launched by ESPN founder Bill Rasmussen, will broadcast the “College Fanz NAIA Football Selection Sunday Show” from the campus of Azuza Pacific University (Azuza, California).
The College Fanz Van and the Mobile Broadcasting Unit will be on the Cougars’ campus all weekend, with the live broadcast of the Langston University at Azuza Pacific Saturday night as the “College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week.”
Veteran NAIA sports commentator Jason Dannelly will be the host of the live “College Fanz NAIA Football Selection Sunday Show.” Dannelly is the Director of College Relations for College Fanz as well as the color analyst and producer of the “College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week.”
Dannelly will be joined by College Fanz broadcasters Brandi Benson, Adam Maser, John Thayer as the 16-team field is announced. Other special guests on the broadcast will include coaches from the 16 teams selected to the NAIA Football Championship Series First Round, as well as NAIA President and CEO Jim Carr.
The 16-team field announced during the “College Fanz NAIA Football Selection Sunday Show” will compete in the eight first round games at on-campus sites on Saturday, November 21st. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, November 28th and the semi-finals are on Saturday, December 5th, also played at on-campus sites.
Selected games from the NAIA Football Championship Series first round, quarterfinals and semi-finals will be broadcast live on College Fanz as part of the inaugural season of the “College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week.”
The NAIA Football Championship Series culminates on Saturday, December 19th in Rome, Georgia with the 54th Annual Russell Athletic-NAIA Football National Championship at 12 noon Eastern time in Barron Stadium.
College Fanz will broadcast live pre-and post-game shows from Rome, Georgia as well.
